Summer may be drawing to a close but there is still time to pick up some summer bargains when it comes to the latest mobile phones on contract we have compiled a list of the latest handsets and the best tariffs to get them on. We have decided that we should include not just LG phones, but instead compare the whole market. So let's get cracking
1) Nokia 5530 deals - This cheeky little handset has been refined down so that you can get it for a real bargain price. For a little over £20.00 you get 600 minutes and unlimited texts with Vodafone. We think you will struggle to find a decent handset with a monthly price as low as this.
2) LG Crystal deals - A pretty cool phone in our opinion, even if it is a little on the pricey side. A 600 minute unlimited text plan will set you back £35.00 on either Orange, Vodafone or O2, so you do get the advantage of choosing your network for a similar cost.
3) Samsung Jet deals - A superb phone in our opinion and deserves more press than it is currently receiving. It is great value too, with the advantage of running on the Android platform. You can't complain at 400 minutes and 3000 texts for £21.20 per month. Definitely worth considering!
4) Blackberry Curve 8520 deals - No list would be complete without a Blackberry offering and the new 8520 is a great new addition to the family. O2 are offering £170 automatic cashback on their £35.00 per month tariff which makes this one even more attractive.
5) Nokia N86 deals - This is the gamers handset and a fair bit cheaper than the N97. You can pick this beauty up £35.00 per month on either O2 or Vodafone and for that you get 600 minutes and unlimited texts. There are also some pretty good free gifts around too which are worth checking out.
6) Sony Ericsson W995 deals - This is a great Sony Ericsson handset, especially for those who love music. T-Mobile have a great offer on at the moment, whereby you can get 700 minutes and 3000 texts for just £21.20 per month (after cashback). If cashback isn't your thing then Orange offer 400 minutes and 3000 texts for £25.00 per month.
7) Nokia N97 deals - Yes it's expensive, perhaps the most expensive handset mentioned here, but it does come with everything. It may be too steep for some though, with the best deal on offer being £40.00 per month from Vodafone which gives you 600 minutes and unlimited texts.
8) HTC Hero deals - The best Android phone on the market, now available on Vodafone as well as Orange. You can pick this one up for £25.28 per month and for that you get 400 minutes and 3000 text messages.
So there you have it our lowdown of the best phones and the best tariffs available at the moment. If you want our honest opinion, pay close attention to the Android phones, you may well see them going App crazy this year as the user base increases.

Go Anywhere with the LG KT770

I am a student archaeologist and spend a lot of time in countries that most people have never even heard of. I really want to get myself the LG KT770 phone for my next dig. I’m specifically interested in the geotagging and GPS capabilities. On my last dig in Azerbaijan, we were trying to uncover tombs and had to hike way up into the mountains or across wide plains – often without the foggiest notion of where we were. I mean – the team leader had a hand held GPS, but it was a pain in the neck to have to keep asking her for coordinates. They’re especially helpful when we’re mapping.
I would recommend the phone to anyone in the mapping, engineering, archaeology, or any industry that needs specific coordinates. Why carry a hand held GPS, a camera, and a phone when you can just carry a phone? And the accuracy matches that of the most sophisticated devices. Plus you have the internet at hand to look things up (The LG KT770 has WIFI and WLAN) and send messages and photos back to base when you are traveling. The LG KT770 also supports global roaming, by the way.
The phone also has a voice recording function which is great to take notes to yourself as you go along, or help you remember important locations and monuments along your travels. Hopefully, the battery life will last long enough so that you don’t have to keep running to base to recharge it. That is my only concern with this phone.
The LG mobile phones is Symbian S60 powered phone with a half decent interface and quite a few cool tricks and features up it’s sleeve. It looks sturdy and well made, is a sleek blue color, not to bulky, and also not those tiny phones that make it impossible to dial anything. I’m going to get myself one as soon as it’s out, and I recommend that you do the same.

LG GD900 crystal

LG is really stepping up to the competition when it comes to mobile phone design. The new GD900 Crystal is shrouded in mystery, but from those who attended the Mobile Phone Congress in Barcelona, we do know a few juicy details:
The GD900 Crystal has a sliding, fully transparent keypad that glows and shimmers and looks quite magical. It can supposedly also be used as a mouse pad when browsing the internet, a touch-pad to write text, an extra touch-screen, and also as a joystick to play games. Sounds simply incredible – LG has done it again. It hasn't been a player in the cell phone industry for long, but it really has come far in this short run as one of the largest, most popular, and most versatile manufacturer of mobile handsets. Looks like their technology will give all the others a real run for their money. While most companies have been working on smart-phones, LG has played an ace, so to speak, by designing and launching the see the official press release phone - one that isn't all business.
It is a really cool idea for the LG GD900 Crystal to use a touch-screen as the keypad. Users who are used to pushing buttons might find this a little odd at first, but this innovation opens up a world of opportunities and facilities, making the keypad much more than the keypad, it's like a genie that become what you want from it.
The LG l also has a translucent bluetooth LG headset to go with it. Matching accessories for a fashion accessory – way to go LG! The phone has a front facing camera, so must be 3G, and some LG fans that did a little research say that it has WIFI function. Apart from that, nothing much more can be said. The guys at LG sure know how to keep a crowd guessing!

2. LG KC910i Renoir A great Phone for Photo and Video

The LG KC910i Renoir is a great camera for photos – it has an 8.0 mega pixel camera with auto focus and smile, blink, and face detection. Great for quick snapshots of friends and family. I've never been one to take photographs. I like to just enjoy the moment as it happens instead of recording it for later, but ever since I got the new LG KC910i Renoir , I've been taking pictures everywhere! It's a little embarrassing, actually, and I've ticked a few people off, but camera photography is addictive. It is so convenient, and the interface of the LG KC910i Renoir is really attractive and easy to use. Great for playback too.
The LG also takes pretty good videos. The camera records VGA video at 30 frames per second, and can be pushed to 120 frames per second if you change the resolution to QVGA. The videos are encoded in DivX format. I use it all the time to record my family when I visit them over the weekends. The phone has a micro SD card slot, so I'm not worried about memory space. I play back videos of my kids during the week (I work in the city, away from home) and it just makes my day sometimes. I never thought that a video of something as mundane as my son cleaning up after breakfast would make such a difference in the middle of a hectic day. I guess this part of the post is also my little 'thank you' to cellphones and how well-connected they've made us.
Back to the LG KC910i Renoir. It also has TV functionality and a basic document viewer. Quite a package for a palm sized instrument (107.8 x 55.9 x 14 mm, weighing 114g.) It has all the works – games, music, great phonebook, and memory or missed and received calls. It has some really beautiful downloadable wallpapers, though I prefer to use the shots I've clicked as my backdrop.

LG announces the LG Arena KM900 at World Mobile Congress

LG has decided to follow up on its incredibly successful LG Renoir mobile phone with the announcement at the world mobile congress that it is to launch the LG Arena KM900. This is a truly tough act to follow, such was the success of the LG Renoir in the first place.
Details are sketchy at the moment on the phone specifications, but we reckon that LG have something up their sleeve and we can't wait for the announcement. So far we know that the LG Arena Km900 will have Wifi and Bluetooth, as well as 3G HSDPA connectivity.
The user interface promises to be something unique as well with LG branding it as their "innovative S-Class 3D UI". However to us it looks a lot like the UI used on the Iphone.
We also suspect that the Arena will allow DIV X playback as this seems to be all the rage for all the handsets set for release in 2009. It seems that we are seeing a distinct trend between 3 different types of mobile phone
1) The Camphone such as the all new Sony Ericsson IDOU a 12 Megapixel camera phone that looks seriously cool
2) The Smart phone like the Nokia N97, which comes with both a touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard
3) The touch screen phone – Such as the Arena and the Toshiba TG01
There is certainly plenty to choose from and as the technology advances, the decisions will get harder and harder. You can find the best network specific deals for the LG Arena by following the links below:

O2
T-MobileOrange
3 Mobile
Virgin
Meanwhile why not see the phone in this short video clip, apologies that it's not in English, but it was the best we could find at the moment.

The LG Arena – The next big handset from Korea
If you are looking for the latest mobile phone deals, then you should be definitely checking out the all new LG Arena, the next generation handset from LG. Ahead of the world mobile congress, LG has announced a handset that aims to build upon the success of the incredibly popular LG Renoir. The Arena will come with an impressive 3 inch touch screen and boast a dramatic improvement in screen quality. It has a 3D interface that looks set to revolutionise the way that we use mobile phones. The new interface aims to bring access to all your media features, quickly and efficiently and is a step beyond anything that we have seen from LG before, including that of the LG Dare. Of course there are some more realistically priced LG handsets out there and the one that we rate the most has to be the LG Prada 2 which builds upon the success of the original prada handset. The slide out keyboard is worth a mention in particular here as it makes texting so much easier. So there you have it, a range of mobile phones from LG that offer a great range of different features depending on your budget. Why not check them out today?

The LG Chocolate 3 – An Awesome Music Phone
The brand new LG Chocolate 3 is a phone that was released in July 2008 and offers a good set of high quality features which are ideal for personal users. The phone is equipped with a 2 mega pixel camera, a media player and FM radio. The phone also has expandable memory. I’ve also seen an LG Chocolate 3 review which seems to indicate that this phone is a great music phone and will be a great asset to any personal user. The phone’s features are great and I’d highly recommend this phone to anyone who wants a personal mobile phone that’s good value for money.
I’ve also seen a lot of LG Chocolate 3 pay as you go deals available and I think that as we approach Christmas I think there will be a lot of mobile phone contract deals and offers. The LG Chocolate 3 on contract will probably be available for free on most networks and that is always a good thing to see. All in all, the LG Chocolate 3 is a great phone and it’ll probably do very well in terms of sales. It’s a great looking phone as well which always makes a difference in terms of sales.
Overall, the LG Chocolate 3 is a great phone and it has a nice look to it which will make it all the more popular. The phone has a good set of features and is ideal for personal users who enjoy entertainment features. I’ve also seen an LG Chocolate 3 video review which is well worth watching if you’re interested in this phone as it’ll show you the phone in action and allow you to see the phone’s features in a lot more detail than I can describe here. All in all, the LG Chocolate 3 is a great phone and well worth the purchase in my opinion.
